About Fair Park
I have been blessed to serve as pastor of Fair Park for over 17 wonderful years, and I look forward to many more as the best is yet to come! I was born and raised in East Texas and love my family home there. I graduated from Howard Payne University and Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. I am married to Rachel and have 4 children: Caleb, Lydia, Isaac and Luke.
Minister of Worship
I have been at Fair Park since I was 2 weeks old...literally! Fair Park is my home and my family. I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 1995 and worked in the banking field for about 13 years while doing bi-vocational work at Fair Park before the church called me full time. I love serving the Lord and His people at Fair Park and can't imagine being anywhere else. I enjoy spending much of my time volunteering in the community. I love my wife, Kayle and two beautiful daughters, Grace & Emma and I appreciate them allowing me to serve.
Minister of Education
I am originally from Mississippi but have spent well over the majority of my life here in Louisiana. This is where I met my husband Ron and began our family. God has blessed us with two children, Landon and Kacie. The Lord began to deal with my heart concerning serving Him, and I left a career in finance to pursue degrees in Christian Counseling. There is no place I’d rather be serving the Lord than at Fair Park! It is God's call on my life to equip people to develop a real and intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no greater joy than to work with Him and see His hand at work in our lives!
Minister to Students
I was born and raised in West Monroe, Louisiana. I came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ when I was in the 8th grade. I graduated from ULM with a B.A. in psychology in 2009. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I married my beautiful wife, Alecia Bryant, on October 23, 2010. We have a beautiful new baby boy, Parker Thomas Bryant. Student ministry has played a huge part in my life over the past 14 years. During that time I have served in ministry and leadership roles at various churches. God has placed a passionate desire in my heart to disciple and minister to students. My family and I have been very blessed to be a part of the Fair Park family!
Minister to Children
I have served as Minister to Children since September 2002. I love being able to serve at a church where Children and families are top priority, and where Godly foundations are being laid for our children. I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 1992 and New Orleans Theological Seminary with a pre-school and children's ministry certificate in 2000. I have been happily married to my husband Kirk my best supporter since September 17, 1988. God has blessed our family with 4 wonderful children, Morgan, Mitchell, Mason & Micah. He has also placed in our hearts the desire to care for the orphans around the world. I count it a privilege to serve at Fair Park Baptist Church!
Minister of Discipleship
I was raised in Monroe, graduated from Ouachita High School, served in the Navy (1954-1957), US Air Force (1957-1979), and graduated from Louisiana Tech in 1969. After the Air Force, I graduated SWBT Seminary (1981). I was on staff at First Baptist Monroe, Second Baptist Houston, First Baptist West Monroe, then pastor at New Hope Baptist, Springhill Baptist and First Baptist Chatham. I married Charlotte Harris in December 1955 and we have four children, thirteen grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. I enjoy teaching the Bible and training others to live out their Christian faith in their daily lives. I count it a pleasure and joy to serve with Fair Park Baptist Church.
Minister to Senior Adults
I was raised in Monroe and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior at First Baptist, Monroe; became a charter member, with my family, of College Place Baptist Church. I graduated from Neville and received a band scholarship to Northeast Junior College (ULM), which became a four year college, Northeast State where I graduated. I received an ROTC commission and served in the Army from 1954-1958 where I was a pilot. Upon returning home I began teaching and pursuing my master's degree and plus 30 with other post graduate work. I married Jane Evans in 1952 at Fair Park Baptist Church and we have two children, Bill (married to Terri) and Liz (married to Roger) plus four beautiful grandchildren and five, plus one on the way, great-grandchildren. It's been a wonderful journey and my Fair Park Family is very dear to me.
It is my joy and pleasure to serve as Fair Park's Music Ministry Associate. Being able to serve people of all ages is a tremendous blessing. Fair Park has been my church home for 24 years, although not consecutive years. I am very thankful God allowed me to come back home after serving in another church. In 1979, I received my vocal music degree from Northeast LA University. Shortly after, an opportunity to teach special needs children "fell into my lap" and I have enjoyed teaching them for the past 33 years. In my spare time, I love spending time with my neighbors, who are actually my family - my husband, Roger, my parents, Herb and Jane Peterson, my daughters, Christy and Katy and their husbands, Russell and Chris, and my grandchildren, Trent, Luke, Jax, Gavin and Livi Kate.
